With over 700 million people on Facebook, there is a tremendous opportunity for small business owners to find and engage with potential customers. While selling products through Facebook has always been a challenge, Wishpond has recently launched an Ecommerce solution that could give business owners a full retail presence on Facebook.
Wishpond is a local shopping platform that helps online shoppers find products from businesses that are located near them. Wishpond.com is one of the largest local shopping services with over 12 million products listed via it’s 1700+ retailers. Wishpond’s RetailConnect platform enables merchants to import and publish their product inventory on social platforms like Facebook, in search engines and even on mobile devices, all in an easy to use interface.
Benefits Of Retail Connect
- Fast and easy setup
- Launch an Ecommerce store in a day
- No contracts
- Import your product feed from your website, Ebay, Google, Shopfiy, Retails Pro, Quickbooks or even a CVS file
- Products and prices are automatically updated and synced to match your inventory and pricing
- Detailed analytics such as where your fans are located, gender & age distribution and what they like
How It Works
Upon singing up, retailers will receive instructions on how to install the Wishpond plugin. Once installed, the plugin will automatically “push” your product inventory data to Wishpond and will keep product levels and pricing in sync. According to the website, you can usually have your Facebook Ecommerce page up and running in a day and will not need any technical knowledge to add your product feed.
Pricing
As you can see, Wishpond offers a free 30 day trial, with pricing plans starting at $15 a month if you will be uploading 100 or less products and have a single location. At this price point, it may be well worth it considering how easy it is to set up is and that it automatically syncs your product feed, saving you the headaches of having to constantly update your product pricing and inventory levels.
While there a few other Ecommerce platforms integrating with Facebook, Wishpond is definatly worth considering. What are your thoughts on selling products through Facebook? Leave them in the comments below!

This looks great! I think this is essential for small businesses that sell products on Facebook. It looks easy and more convenient to customers. Will definitely share this!
Awesome, thanks Karen!
It’s an awesome collaboration of Wishpond and Facebook. A fan page is not that really profitable when you are trying to sell a particular product on Facebook but with Wishpond your simple Facebook page will be converted into a professional looking ecommerce site. There are millions of Facebook users and that’s a very big advantage in starting to promote a certain business.
Your right Arnold, for a retialer, being able to sell products and monetize your Facebook Fan page is a game changer
The Retail Connect feature of Wishpond makes it easy to establish your own store on Facebook. It’s very simple to use and the payment process is secured and safe so there’s nothing to worry about. Today, I have 9,000 fans on my page and still counting.
Great job Harry! The key to getting Facebook Fans is adding value and engaging with your fans
Hi Harry! You are so lucky to have that number of fans. I need to read a lot of reviews before trying this one. My page only has a small number of fans and generates a little amount of income. I already tried several approaches on promoting my business on Facebook but still no improvement. Hope this platform could help me.
Thanks Mary Jane!

Did anyone try Shop Tab? They say it’s the best FB application to sell your product or service. Anyways, let’s see what this new platform can do. I better try this one now! =)
Thanks for adding another option for readers of this post. Many small business owners aren’t aware that there are so many options when developing their Facebook pages
I always think of a program that will do the same as Wishpond. Well, here it is and I am glad I visited your site. I will check on it and hopefully use this with our Facebook page to reach more clients.
The 30 day trial will be a great way to check if I will like this platform. Nevertheless, the features will be a great help to our online business. Thanks for the recommendation.
I love how Facebook is becoming an e commerce platform, they really want to keep you on Facebook for everything!
Just thought I would drop a quick update on our Social Store application. We have made some great improvements to the application since this article was published.
We have also introduced all new pricing. You can now try Social Store with up to 20 products completely free for as long as you like. You can upgrade to plans with more features that support more products for either $9 or $19/month.
